What is a normal CBD dosage?

    faq

Determining the “normal” dosage of CBD is difficult since dosages are highly individualistic. Some factors that come into play here are body weight, metabolic rate, the condition being treated, product form, potency, etc.

It is normally recommended that you start low with 5-10 mg daily dosage. This will help the body get accustomed to CBD and at the same time reduce possible side effects. Gradually, you can increase by 5 mg every other day till the results are achieved. Mild improvement in areas such as stress and overall wellness may be achieved on 10-25 mg daily dosage.

Higher doses may be required for more serious conditions. Examples include:

    Chronic pain/inflammation: 20-40 mg a day
    Anxiety/sleep: 25-50 mg a day
Epilepsy: as in FDA-approved Epidiolex, up to 300 mg/day under medical supervision

Consumption methods also play a role. While sublingual tinctures provide much faster absorption, edibles like gummies can take their time to kick in but provide extended effects. Always read the labels to understand how much CBD is in a single serving.

Also note that it is important to consult with a healthcare professional regarding your medications, as CBD may affect their efficiency. Keep in mind that everyone’s tolerance and needs are different, so your “normal” dosage may take a little time to figure out.
