What are the differences between broad spectrum, full spectrum, and isolate CBD?

    faq

The three main types of CBD products are full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate. Each one has specific properties that will be prized by different types of users.

    Full Spectrum CBD
Full-spectrum CBD refers to an extract that contains all the phytochemicals naturally found in the plant, including CBD, trace amounts of THC (up to 0.3%, as is legally allowable), other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. The combination of these compounds produces what is called the “entourage effect,” wherein these elements work together synergistically to enhance therapeutic benefits. Full-spectrum products are ideal for those looking for a complete hemp experience. Full spectrum CBD is not advised for people who are sensitive to THC or who may be taking drug tests.

    Broad Spectrum CBD
Broad-spectrum CBD is similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with one key difference: it contains all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids contained in the hemp plant, except for THC, which is completely removed. Broad-spectrum products are an outstanding choice for individuals who want to get the benefits of the entourage effect without consuming THC. This makes it a popular option for those concerned about legal restrictions or avoiding psychoactive compounds altogether.

    CBD Isolate
Isolate is purely made CBD (usually 99%) with everything else removed. It doesn’t have the entourage effect, but it is perfect for people who want only the specific benefits of CBD or want to avoid even trace cannabinoids.

Which format one decides to go with depends on a person’s goals, sensitivity to THC, and whether they are facing future drug testing. Each type has different merits that make an experience with CBD more personalized.
